Competitiveness and innovation in enterprises
“Hemusturist” AD is a beneficiary under the Administrative Agreement for the provision of grant aid No. BG16RFPR001-2.004-0192-C01 Improving the energy efficiency of “HEMUSTURIST” AD from 01.06.2026 under the Program “Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises” 2021-2027, procedure through selection of project proposals No. BG16RFPR001-2.004 “Energy efficiency and use of energy from renewable sources in enterprises”.
The total eligible costs of the project amount to EUR 103,170.06, with the approved maximum amount of the grant being EUR 51,120.77 (49.55% of the eligible costs), of which EUR 43,452.65 represents funding from the European Union.
The project implementation period is from 01.06.2026 to 01.06.2027.
The main objective of the project is to improve the energy efficiency of Hemusturist AD through an investment in a photovoltaic installation for own consumption: panels in combination with inverters with an output (nominal) active power of 70 kW and batteries with inverters with a capacity of 100 kW. They will provide a new own source of renewable energy, covering a significant part of the energy needs of the hotel and restaurant that the candidate company operates.
The investment will allow daily production and storage of clean energy for own consumption, covering a significant, and in sunny weather, the entire 24-hour electricity demand of the hotel within the framework of the main economic activity with code under KID-2008: 55.10 “Hotels and similar accommodation facilities” – for air conditioning and heating, ventilation, lighting, heating of domestic hot water and service equipment. The assets applied for under the project will also be used in connection with the additional activity with code under KID-2008: 56.10 “Restaurants and quick service establishments”, as they will provide clean energy and to power the restaurant at the hotel.
Its own RES source will diversify energy sources and reduce dependence on market fluctuations and external suppliers. Hemusturist AD will build relative energy independence and will be less vulnerable to energy and market crises, which have a serious impact on the hotel business.
The project will achieve the objective of the procedure – increasing the use of renewable sources, increasing the share of RES in the energy mix and accelerating the transition to climate neutrality. With its implementation, Hemusturist AD will achieve sustainable development and increase its competitiveness, in line with national and European priorities for green transition and climate neutrality.
The project is in accordance with: the horizontal principles set out in Article 9 of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and the principle of “doing no significant harm”.
